Bukayo Saka returned to training with the England national team ahead of their World Cup match against Ghana, providing a fitness boost despite still facing problems with Achilles tendinitis.
Bukayo Saka has trained with the England national team to give coach Thomas Tuchel a fitness boost before their second World Cup match against Ghana. The Arsenal forward did not fully train with the rest of the squad on Saturday, instead doing some individual work during part of the training session. However, it is understood that Saka took part in normal training in England's final session on Sunday before Tuesday's match in Boston. Saka is currently suffering from an Achilles tendinitis problem and started on the bench in the 4-2 win over Croatia. Tuchel has stated that Saka is unlikely to be considered for a start until the third group match against Panama. The 24-year-old has been carrying the issue for some time. While there have been concerns behind the scenes at Arsenal regarding this injury, they have deemed him fit enough to play regularly during the end of their season. It is understood that Saka's ongoing Achilles problem has not worsened since the end of the domestic campaign, when his side claimed their first Premier League title in 22 years.
