One of the worries that was predicted to occur at this year's World Cup came true on Monday (22). The start of the second half of the match between France and Iraq, which took place in the city of Philadelphia, had to be postponed due to weather conditions. Heavy rain started to fall towards the end of the first half, which actually took place without any weather interference. However, during halftime of the match, lightning struck near the stadium, causing the match to be stopped. A message appeared in the stands asking spectators to leave the seating area and seek shelter. It is expected that the match will resume after a delay of around 30 minutes. A year ago, the Club World Cup was also marked by several match disruptions due to lightning near the stadium.
