New Coach for Ronaldo at Al-Nassr: Postecoglou Signs Two-Year Contract

Ange Postecoglou is now officially the new coach of Al-Nassr, a team which is also strengthened by superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. This coach from Greece was appointed on Friday evening and immediately signed a two-year contract in Riyadh.

Postecoglou took over as coach after Jorge Jesus, who previously succeeded in bringing Al-Nassr to the Saudi Pro League title at the end of May. However, Jesus chose to terminate his contract after this success.

At the age of 60, Postecoglou hopes to achieve success at his new club. Previously, he coached Tottenham Hotspur and managed to win their first trophy since 2008 by winning the Europa League. However, his career in the Premier League ended tragically after Spurs slumped to 17th position.

After being sacked in North London, Postecoglou tried his luck at Nottingham Forest, but only lasted eight games before being sacked. Now, he has a new opportunity in the Middle East and will work together with Ronaldo, who is currently still actively playing in the World Cup.
