June 23, 2026 · Global
Manchester United are reportedly interested in recruiting West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville, who has performed quite well despite his team's relegation. The club sees him as a key addition to strengthen their attack line.
In the Transfer Insider podcast, journalist Pete O'Rourke revealed that Manchester United are looking at West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville this summer. O'Rourke stated, "With West Ham relegated and needing to balance their finances, they should consider selling Summerville. West Ham are already resigned to losing a number of key players this summer, and Mateus Fernandes and Summerville are probably the two most prominent players who could leave too. Man United could potentially want to sign both of them from West Ham and they are on their target list this summer. United are very interested in Summerville, and price will be crucial, as well as for Fernandes, whether they can reach an agreement between the clubs."
Summerville managed to impress on the left side of West Ham's attack last season, although he failed to help his team avoid relegation from the Premier League. This Dutch talent scored seven goals and provided five assists in 34 matches for the Hammers in various competitions last season. Currently, he is ranked among the best wingers in his homeland. Therefore, Man United will do their best to obtain his services this year.

His contract at the London Stadium expires in the summer of 2029, which could make it difficult for the Red Devils to sign him cheaply in this transfer period. Summerville has speed that can make it difficult for opponents on the wings. He is able to shoot the ball hard from long distance and has the vision to create attractive opportunities for his teammates to score goals. This Dutch sensation can contribute by scoring and creating important goals for his team.
He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and will not need much time to adapt to life at the Mancunian club. Summerville will add quality and depth to Man United coach Michael Carrick's attack. He has the ability to compete for a regular place in the first team at Old Trafford next season. At 24 years old, Summerville still has his best years ahead of him, making him a worthy option for the Red Devils to consider in this transfer window. He will also help Man United compete in various competitions in the next few years. Therefore, Carrick should immediately target him.
