Liverpool Officially Signs Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes for 55 Million Euros

Liverpool made another breakthrough in the transfer market by bringing in young defender Jeremy Jacquet from Stade Rennais. The transfer value paid reached 55 million euros, plus 5 million euros in bonuses.

It is hoped that Jacquet can become a valuable asset for the Liverpool squad, especially after receiving high praise from British journalists who compared him to William Lintasa. In an official statement released by the club, Liverpool revealed, "Liverpool have completed the purchase of defender Jeremy Jacquet from Stade Rennais on a long-term contract, which will be agreed internationally. A deal to bring the Frenchman to the club was agreed earlier this year, and the transfer will be confirmed in the next few days."

Jeremy Jacquet, who previously studied at the Rennes academy, has made 33 appearances at senior level, with 21 appearances in the 2025-26 season before suffering a shoulder injury in February. Additionally, he also has 12 months of playing experience on loan at Clermont Foot, where he appeared in 24 matches.

In his first statement as a Liverpool player, Jacquet said, "I feel very good, my first impressions are very positive and I am very happy to start here. I am very happy.
