Kevin Volland has ended his career at the age of 33, giving thanks for a 16-year career in the world of football and expressing his longing for the game.

German striker Kevin Volland has officially announced that he has ended his professional career at the age of 33. In his statement, Volland expressed his gratitude for the 16 years he spent in the world of football and admitted that this decision was taken with a heavy heart. "Sometimes we have to make decisions that are far from personal happiness. Eventually, the twilight of a career is inevitable — and now that time has come for me. Thank you for 16 extraordinary years. This is a celebration for me, and I will miss football very much," Volland wrote in his statement.

He has played for several clubs, including Hoffenheim, Bayer Leverkusen, Monaco, Union Berlin, and most recently München 1860, which he returned to in 2025.
