Losing Raphinha, Neymar Ready to Appear Again Against Scotland

The Brazilian national team is currently feeling sad due to the injury suffered by Barcelona striker Raphinha. However, they are preparing to welcome the return of football legend, Neymar, who has recovered and is ready to play as a substitute for Raphinha. Midfielder Lucas Paqueta stated that the team was very happy to see Neymar back training with them after not playing in the first two group games against Morocco and Haiti.

Raphinha was sidelined due to a hamstring injury, and this means Neymar, who is 34 years old and now plays for Santos, has the opportunity to make his debut again for Brazil in October 2023 when facing Scotland. "We are all very happy to see him training and returning to the pitch with us," said Paqueta, a former West Ham United player.

Paqueta stressed how important Neymar is to the Brazilian national team, "He has an extraordinary history with this shirt and can still make a lot of contributions for us. We hope he will soon be ready to help the team." Raphinha previously started Brazil's two games but had to be replaced by young Bournemouth striker Rayan after injury. Brazil revealed that Raphinha will undergo "intensive treatment" in the hope of returning in time for a possible last-16 clash in early July.

"We all feel sad, especially Rafa, because of the slight setback due to this injury, but he can count on the support of all of us," added Paqueta. "We all know his characteristics, quality, speed, ability to create space and finishing ability, so we feel we have lost a very important player."
