Ghana goalkeeper, Benjamin Asare, spoke about his team's experience at the 2026 World Cup, where they have not conceded a goal in the two matches they have played.
Ghana is still on track to qualify for the last 16 of the 2026 World Cup after achieving a 1-0 win over Panama and a 0-0 draw against England. Interestingly, this team has not conceded any goals at all in this tournament. There are only three other teams, namely Mexico, Argentina and Spain, who have managed to record similar achievements.

Ghana goalkeeper, Benjamin Asare, who has been in goal since the match against Panama after Lawrence Ati Zigi suffered an injury, revealed that there was nothing surprising to him about this achievement. "This is normal," said Asare after the match against England. "This is my job. I have to be ready to make a save whenever I'm on the pitch," added the 33-year-old, who plays for Accra Hearts of Oak.
Asare also didn't overdo his celebration of his success in recording his second clean sheet. "This is normal, normal," he said. Even facing a player like Harry Kane is normal for him. "Yes, facing Harry Kane is normal because even the best goalkeepers concede goals. So, I might also concede, but I might not. That's my job," he concluded.
