Curaçao is gearing up for an important group game at the World Cup, with hopes of picking up a win against Ivory Coast to advance to the next round.
Curaçao are gearing up for their third group game at the 2026 World Cup. After scoring a goal against Germany and picking up a point against Ecuador, they will now hope to pick up a win against Ivory Coast. Kemenangan ini tidak hanya akan menjadi kemenangan perdana bagi mereka, tetapi juga hampir pasti memastikan tempat di babak berikutnya.

One of the leading voices from Curaçao is Carl Ruiter, a 39-year-old sports journalist who has followed the development of the national team for more than twelve years. "This is incredible for us as Curaçao, and for all Antilleans around the world, as well as for the players and me as a sports journalist," said Ruiter ahead of coach Dick Advocaat's final press conference accompanied by Tahith Chong at the Philadelphia stadium.
Ruiter also shared his experience of the strict accreditation process to become a journalist at the World Cup. "In Curaçao, usually we just walk into the stadium and start watching, but here everything is much more complicated. However, I learned a lot from this experience and interacting with fellow journalists from different countries. It was very impressive," he added.
