Demichelis Officially Becomes Coach of RB Lipsia, Suggested by Klopp

Martin Demichelis has officially become the new coach of RB Lipsia with a contract binding him until 2028. This 45 year old coach had previously ended his collaboration with Mallorca to take over as coach at Lipsia. Demichelis takes over from Werner and will lead the team under the direction of Jürgen Klopp, who is pushing for a change in playing philosophy within the Red Bull group.

According to German media reports, Klopp's influence is increasingly felt in the decisions taken by the club. Klopp wants to improve the team's performance and conveys how to achieve this through increasingly dominant, fast and direct play.

Demichelis' playing system, influenced by his experience with Louis van Gaal, will feature a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 formation, with a focus on ball possession and fast attacks. As seen in the teams coached by Klopp, the Argentinian coach will also apply high and immediate pressing to win back the ball, as well as raising the defensive line compared to previous managers.

With the presence of Demichelis, RB Lipsia must be ready to face challenges this season which include the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and Champions League. Demichelis will try to meet Werner's average points of 1.95 points per game, as well as pursue the club's target of occupying the top position in the league standings, surpassing previous years' achievements.
