Carli Lloyd Expresses Disappointment With Christian Pulisic

The defeat of the United States (US) men's national team to Belgium with a score of 4-1 in the round of 16 of the World Cup gave rise to sharp criticism from the legend of the US women's national team, Carli Lloyd. He stated that the team had already lost before the match started, which indicated a lack of a strong mentality from the players. According to Lloyd, Belgium performed better from the start of the match and showed clear dominance. Although the US started the tournament well, scoring 10 goals in the first four games, they again failed to progress further in the knockout stages, a challenge that is always difficult for them. I think whether he wants to be the star of this team or not, we didn't see enough of him in this game and the whole World Cup. There were just a few moments that showed." This painful defeat will certainly leave scars for the US team. However, Lloyd emphasized the importance of building momentum from the overall tournament experience, especially from some positive early performances. "Aside from this loss, I think on the brighter side, this was a fantastic World Cup. This team has united the country, they made American fans fall in love with them, and there is a bright future. However, this is a very disappointing loss to finish with." Regarding Pulisic, he is now 27 years old and will be 31 years old at the next World Cup.
