Caio Henrique Joins Ajax After Six Seasons With Monaco

Ajax have officially announced the signing of Caio Henrique from Monaco. The 28-year-old Brazilian left-back has signed a contract that will tie him to the Amsterdam club until 30 June 2030, opening a new chapter in his career after six successful seasons in the French competition.

Caio Henrique started his career in Europe with Atletico Madrid who bought him in 2016. After several loan experiences in his homeland with Paraná, Fluminense and Grêmio, he finally moved permanently to Monaco in the summer of 2020. At the Prince's club, he quickly became one of the pillars of the team, making more than 200 appearances and being recognized as one of the best defenders in Ligue 1.

Ajax technical director Jordi Cruijff expressed his satisfaction with the transfer, stressing the importance of Caio's presence in the team. "We are very pleased to welcome Caio to Ajax. We have been working on his arrival for some time and are very satisfied to have completed this deal. He brings great experience, personality and leadership: characteristics that will make him an added value to the team from the start."
