Beth Mead Officially Joins Manchester City

Beth Mead has joined Manchester City after leaving Arsenal. The England international signed a three-year contract with City, revealing that the club's style of play suits him perfectly.
Beth Mead has officially joined Women's Super League champions, Manchester City, on a free transfer. The England international leaves Arsenal at the end of the 2025-26 season.
Mead has played in 167 WSL matches for Arsenal, which is the fourth most for the club in the competition. She has recorded 104 goal contributions in the WSL for Arsenal, trailing only Vivianne Miedema (115), while Mead holds the league-high record for most assists with 54 assists.
The 31-year-old failed to reach a new deal with Arsenal, and has now signed a three-year contract with City. "I'm very proud to be here. It's clear that City had an extraordinary season last year and I'm very excited to start a new chapter here," said Mead in City club media.
"I think the way City play really suits me, and I feel I can bring something extra to my game. After speaking with the manager, I think this is a place where I can really contribute and bring a different dynamic to the team, so it was an obvious decision for me."
Mead is fifth on the WSL's all-time goalscoring list, with 72 goals. City's director of football, Therese Sjogran, stated, "Beth's achievements in the world of football speak for themselves, so we are delighted to bring her to the club. She has shown what it takes to perform consistently on the big stage that we want to compete on a regular basis, so she will be a fantastic addition to our already impressive squad."
