Barcelona Interested in Recruiting Manchester United Star Benjamin Sesko

Barcelona is reportedly interested in recruiting Manchester United star, Benjamin Sesko, in the transfer market this summer. According to a report from Marca, the Blaugrana are looking for a new striker to replace Robert Lewandowski who will leave the club at the end of his contract this month.

They have identified Atletico Madrid's Julian Alvaraz as a top target, but a deal for the Argentinian looks unlikely to materialize. Atletico recently rejected a fantastic £129 million bid from Real Madrid and are determined to get a much higher fee.

Alvaraz remains Barcelona's main target, but they are also considering alternatives if they fail to secure the Argentine's services. Apart from Sesko, names such as Serhou Guirassy and Karl Etta Eyong are also on the list of options.

Sesko himself joined Manchester United last season from RB Leipzig for a fee that could reach £74 million. He endured a difficult start to his Premier League career, but managed to bounce back in the second half of the season. Sesko is known as an elite center forward with a reputation as a player who is physically strong and has good technical abilities. He is renowned for his explosive pace, hard work and aerial dominance, although still needs to improve his decision-making in the final third of the pitch.

Manchester United are satisfied with Sesko's progress and are unlikely to consider a bid for him. The Manchester giants are also planning to recruit quality reserves to support the 23-year-old striker, after Joshua Zirkzee failed to live up to expectations.
